This is a success story of Dilawar Hussain S/O Syed Jaffir Hussain Shah. Dilawar Hussain was a student of HOPE School Muzaffargarh. He has 2 siblings, a younger sister and a brother, who are also currently students of HOPE School Muzaffagarh. Dilawar belongs to a very poor family, who is living a life below poverty. His father Jaffir Hussain does not have a permanent job, but takes up any odd job he comes across to provide bread to the family. Due to the odd jobs of Dilawar’s father, there is no fixed income, due to which they have to face a lot of hardships as somedays his father gets paid by any random job, while other days there is no job, so not income.
Looking at the financial
situation of the house, Dilawar started a small business in his house during
his school days, by selling sweets, biscuits, chips, jelly’s and other products
in his house to the children of his neighborhood. He buys the products at
wholesale rates and sells them at retail rates. Due to which he is able to
generate some income to support his father.
Dilawar was always a hardworking and dedicated student. He had the urge
to study hard. Looking at the financial situation of Dilawar
and his siblings, HOPE – An Educational NGO in Pakistan
supported Dilawar and his other 2 siblings throughout schooling, by providing
textbooks, copies, stationary, lunchbox, school bags and other essentials. HOPE
also sponsored the school fees and is still sponsoring Dilawars siblings fees.
Dilawar completed his matric from
Government School Punjab, and is now enrolled in DG Khan University in BS
Agriculture Program. He is also working
a part time government job at One Agro Chemicals, Punjab. By working a part
time job Dilawar is able to sponsor his own university fees as well as
contribute in his house. This is all
possible because of the interest and hard work or Dilawar that he is able to
manage studies and work at the same time.
