Food is a basic necessity of life after air and water. Every human being needs food to live a healthy life. Food acts as a fuel for our body to generate energy which helps our body function properly. This is why World Food Day is celebrated for the cause of tackling hunger. Its aim is to raise awareness regarding the problem of hunger. It is focused towards underprivileged communities, particularly women and children to make their living standard better. The basic purpose of celebrating World Food Day is to highlight the problem of hunger around the world and to come together as a community to declare the commitment of eliminating hunger worldwide, also its purpose is a call for action to make healthy diet available and affordable for everyone. World Food Day is celebrated on 16th Oct globally.
