The HOPE Team Visits Middle School in Muzzaffargarh

However, the fact is that education, despite being on the top priority of each government, practically has not been seen in deprived and wanted areas. Progress is being made but at snail’s pace. So we remain in the position of mark time. The children from these underprivileged areas are often being deprived off their basic rights i.e. getting quality of education. The fact cannot be neglected that
quality education for the young ones is essential to create an understanding of the country’s real problems, filtering the process for betterment.

HOPE an educational NGO in Pakistan, has enthusiastically endeavored, within its means, to eradicate illiteracy in Pakistan under the leadership of Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla- child specialist in Karachi. HOPE’s effort to promote education deep into rural areas has not overlooked the city of Muzzaffargarh located in southwestern Punjab, Pakistan. HOPE started a small school in 2011, sponsored by HOPE USA and HSBC bank. With the passage of time HOPE made efforts to furnish its building to create a better environment for children.

Every year the HOPE team visits its schools situated in the far off cities as part of its annual visit. This visit is one of the most awaited days through out the year for not only the HOPE team but also the children, who are keen to see Dr. Mubina-Child specialist in Karachi, because of whom their lives started going down a much brighter path.
HOPE- an educational NGO in Pakistan, went to Muzzaffargarh on a two day visit, where they were given the warmest welcome. The two day visit had a festive aura with cheers and laughter in the air. On the first day, the school had a sport festival, where a large number of students participated and performed brilliantly in all the sport activities. Simultaneously, students become aware that sports are a type of physical exercise which has positive effect for mind, body and spirit. Furthermore, it provides good opportunity to learn accountability, dedication, and leadership, among students. The activities comprises of various matches, races that includes hoping, sack race and other fun activities.  Mainly girls were motivated to participate in the activities in order to encourage them to take initiative in the society that constantly undermined them. This festival resulted in motivating more students to work harder, elevated the morals of the winners and helped empower the girls living in the area.

The high spirited event ended with a prize distribution to the winners with a roaring applause from the audience. In addition, school bags and geometry boxes were also distributed among students.

It is indeed thought provoking, that in a world filled with negativity, simple small actions can lead people to smile the brightest. HOPE personified the statement by simply distributing gifts and made many children happy.
