Charity does not always represent giving lavish and huge items to the needy people, instead it can symbolize by fulfilling their basic needs such as providing basic food requirements. One of the easiest and most needed deed is to provide food to their doorsteps.
HOPE-
A Health NGO in Pakistan provides support to the underprivileged people
living in the rural areas, in the form of food distribution. Recently during
the month of ramadan, HOPE has distributed biryani packets and iftar boxes
among the children and the underprivileged families in different rural areas of
Karachi such as Bhens Colony, Rehri Goth, Zia Colony, Bhittaiabad, Sachal Goth,
Gadap, Dhabeyjee, Ghaggar, Link Road, Bilal Colony, Manzoor Colony, Mujahid
Colony, Kachra Kundi etc.
The distribution of these iftar
boxes and biryani packets to these communities, brought joy and smiles on their
faces. Such distribution of food by HOPE - An NGO in Pakistan is
conducted on a regular basis every year, throughout the month of Ramadan, in
rural slum areas and in the villages on the edge of the city. These people were
delighted to receive the iftar boxes, as they belong to the low-income class
who cannot even afford a proper meal.
On an average around 4000 biryani
packets and ration boxes were distributed in these less fortunate communities. Approximately
300 packets were distributed daily during Ramdan. The team will continue to
distribute Iftar and briyani boxes every ramadan to bring a smile on the faces
of these children
These activities are actively carried
out under the supervision of Dr.
Mubina Agboatwalla - A Child Specialist in Karachi, she does her best
to provide for those who are neglected and unable to provide for themselves.
