SUPPORT THE NEEDY THIS RAMADAN THROUGH YOUR ZAKAT

Ramadan is a time for self-reflection and closeness to God - a time when Muslim communities gives generously to help those less fortunate enjoy their own Holy month. The Holy month Ramadan has always brought joy to the Muslims, but unfortunately, the case is not always true for people who are deprived of basic needs. Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla - A Child Specialist in Karachi not only understands the importance of education for the impoverished and how it can help create a positive impact in improving their lives, she also takes care of the opportunities she can provide to give them some moments to cherish specially during Ramadan.

HANDPUMP CONSTRUCTED BY HOPE IN COLLABORATION WITH INDIVIDUAL DONOR

Water is vital in our life; it is essential for our survival. Experts claim that an average human body requires the consumption of at least 2-3 liters of water per day for the purpose of drinking in order to survive. Water is the most important substance in the world, a necessity utilized by living things for survival and is necessary for several processes.  Apart from the human body requirements water is an essential element that is needed for bathing, cooking, washing, agriculture, livestock etc.

On 6th March 2023 HOPE - An NGO in Pakistan installed 1 new Hand Pump with the funds donated by Ms. Emaan. She  joined hands with HOPE- A Health NGO in Pakistan to help people get over the hurdle of walking miles to get water, by installing a hand pump in  Haji Muhammad Goth, Link Road. The handpump is dug deep to 180 feet down the ground level using heavy machinery to bore water up above the ground. The family members of Ms. Emaan also visited the Handpump and took, Chips biscuits and jelly along with them, which they distributed among the children at the village.




The Handpump was installed in Haji Muhammad Goth, where approximately 70 families reside and each family consists of 5-6 members, that accumulates to a total sum of around 400 people at Haji Muhammad Goth, Link Road.

A family member of Ms. Eeman communicated with the local people to know more about their living conditions, and they also educated them about self-sanitation and cleanliness of the environment.  The villagers spoke about their problems. They also requested if she could construct toilets for their village, as there are many young girls and ladies who have to walk to the jungle to pass their stool.

HOPE has been helping the needy to obtain clean drinking water under the leadership of Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla – A Child Specialist in Karachi.

DISTRIBUTION OF BIRYANI AND UNIFORM AMONG THE STUDENTS AT HOPE SCHOOL THATTA.

HOPE - An NGO in Pakistan has been unrelentingly trying its best to feed hundreds of destitute people and children since the past many years. HOPE manages to provide food for the lesser fortunate the community to feed the underserved. People living in these areas are usually not blessed with even 2 times meal. They do their best to make ends meet and to provide for their families and children.

Recently in the underprivileged community of Thatta HOPE distributed Biryani packets among the students of its school. Apart from the student’s biryani was also distributed among the teachers, supporting staff and the locals living in the areas nearby.

The biryani packets which were distributed among the students brought joy and smile to their faces. Such distribution of cooked food by HOPE is often conducted in its schools.  









Furthermore, apart from the distribution of cooked food among the students. HOPE – An Educational NGO in Pakistan, also distributed uniforms among the needy students, who did not have uniforms and to those whose uniforms were very old and worn out.  

Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla - A Child Specialist in Karachi not only understands the importance of education for the impoverished, but also how it can help create a positive impact in improving their lives, she also takes care of the opportunities she can provide to give them some moments to cherish. HOPE STRIVES TO IMPROVE THE ECONOMIC SITUATION OF THE NEEDY COMMUNITIES

HOPE - An Educational NGO in Pakistan is like a glowing candle in the darkness by providing equal opportunities of growth for young girls and boys, to become financially strong and independent by educating them with different skill sets.

This is why HOPE along with education and its schools also focuses on Vocational Education. Vocational Education is based on occupation and employment and it is the need of the hour for our nation right now during this economic crisis. It can be defined as skilled-based education. Vocational Education helps in Economic growth.

HOPE Vocational Centers consist of Computer Classes and Sewing Classes.  The Sewing Class provides training of cutting, sewing, stitching and embroidery. Shifts are set in a way that not only the local women but the women from other nearby localities can also come to get training there. They can easily manage their family responsibilities side by side this training. While the Computer Classes consist of using Microsoft Office, Word and Excel. As well as typing and drawing.



Vocational Education Training has been found to have an important effect on career development, which is why Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla – A Child Specialist in Karachi, has given a lot of emphasis for students and adults to pursue vocational training. Vocational training can enhance the employability of individuals and organizations by equipping them with skills that are in demand in the marketplace.

MGYW DISTRIBUTES COOKED FOOD AND RATION AMONG THE STUDENTS AT HOPE ZIA SCHOOL

At times even the small things you do can mean everything in another person’s life. Charity does not always represent giving lavish and huge items to the needy ones, instead it can symbolize by fulfilling their basic needs such as providing basic food requirements. The best strategy for providing food to the community is by bringing it to their doorsteps.

On the 23rd of February 2023 one of the donors of HOPE – An NGO in Pakistan, distributed cooked food among the students and staff of HOPE Zia School, Korangi. The cooked food was very delicious which brought a smile on the face of all students of the school. Furthermore, MGYW also distributed 26 ration bags for the needy families, which was given to the families of the students living in the vicinity of Zia Colony, who were in dire need of support and cannot make ends to meet. The families were very happy to receive the ration bags.






Pakistani American Forum/Merit Grants for Young Women (MGYW) is a non-profit organization founded in 2000 to promote higher education (beyond basic literacy) among under-privileged young women of Pakistan - regardless of ethnicity, race, province, sect, or religion. It works with MGYW Pakistan to achieve its goals. All MGYW Board members are volunteers and some regularly travel to Pakistan at their own expense to monitor the program.
