HOPE Fundraiser event in San Francisco- California

To help the impoverished of our society, HOPE-an NGO in Pakistan has been continuously striving to come up with ways to reduce poverty and educational disparity. Such efforts would create a greater effect if aided by other social organizations and philanthropists who eagerly contribute towards betterment of the society. Therefore, to spread awareness and to raise funds for the under-served masses of our society, HOPE charity USA held a Fundraiser in San Francisco- CA on 5th of August 2016.



The aim of the Fundraiser was to raise awareness among the citizens of US about Pakistan and the obstacles that our country is encountering in terms of primary and secondary health care system as well as educational disparities. The event was well supported by our HOPE charity USA team arranged by Mr. Zafar Naqvi (coordinator HOPE charity USA) and Mr. Aamir Jameel (President HOPE Charity USA). Around 400 people attended this event with great enthusiasm to support those in need. The audience also includes overseas Pakistanis who appreciated the efforts of HOPE- an NGO in Pakistan.


The event included detailed presentations and videos on all the activities of HOPE- an NGO in Pakistan which was presented by Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla- Child specialist in Karachi. The presentation was focused mainly on educational status of children in Pakistan, patients at HOPE hospitals and how HOPE carries out  treatment of these patients and  HOPE’s contribution towards providing safe drinking water in underprivileged areas through installment of Hand pumps- activities conducted under the category of Aqua Project. The audience was also briefed about need of water and hand pumps in rural areas of Pakistan. Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla- Child specialist in Karachi, also informed audience regarding efforts which have been done so far to resolve the scarcity of water by installing 25 hand pumps in rural areas and outskirts of Karachi. The session ended with a question and answer session followed by dinner and a musical program.



When inquired, the audience greatly appreciated the efforts of HOPE in the development field, helping the poor and making the country self sufficient. The crowd showed interest to be a part of this development process. We at HOPE, look forward for the contribution of these individuals to step forward and help HOPE- an NGO in Pakistan to eradicate educational disparity and to provide basic health facilities to the less fortunate people of our country.
