HOPE's Shelter Camp at Shangla District

Survivors of earthquake 2005 has just marked the tenth anniversary of the tragedy yet another cataclysmic movement of tectonic plates hit the areas of Shangla district; located in Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa- only with much more venom. On October 26th, 2015 people of Pakistan has faced the worst earthquake in its history.

HOPE has been a precursor in providing health, educational, and disaster assistance to the needy and distressed people across Pakistan since its creation in 1997. HOPE- an NGO in Pakistan has been working relentlessly for the benefit of underprivileged individuals by taking part in relief activities including medical care in the earthquake areas extending from Khyber Pakhtukhuwa in the north to Sindh in the South under the leadership of Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla- Child Specialist in Karachi.





Likewise, shelter camp was arranged at Martoum- sub tehsil of Shangla district, around 6 hours from Saidu Shareef- capital of swat. Road goes from buner and covered with snowy mountain. People of Martoum were suffering as houses were destroyed due to earthquake and extreme cold made it difficult for families to stay indoor.





HOPE- an NGO in Pakistan  stepped forward in aid and support of the surviving and displaced victim needing urgent and immediate help in the form of shelter, medical aid, food and water. Not only shelter but blocks and cement was also provided for the construction purpose. This activity was held under the supervision of Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla- Child specialist in Karachi and Chairperson of HOPE.
