HOPE CONTINUES ITS MISSION BY REACHING OUT TO THE LESS FORTUNATE AFFECTED BY THE FLOOD

HOPE – A Health NGO in Pakistan is doing its level best to create ease for the people, who have lost their homes and shelters due to the recent floods. Through the generous help of its donors, HOPE team made a whole-hearted, meaningful effort of going all the way from Karachi to various cities in Sindh, Punjab, Baluchistan and AJK for the distribute ration, drinking water, cooked food, cooking oil and other supplies to poor and needy families devastated by the recent floods.

Many rural areas of Pakistan especially interior Sindh and the Northern areas have been affected by these rain spells and flood, as the house of the underprivileged population have been destroyed. Along with which all their belongings and food items have been washed away.  These poor people live hand to mouth and do not have any other resources for survival.

The team members of HOPE – An NGO in Pakistan have been distributing ration to the needy families during the dawn of the monsoon season and especially during these times when many have been affected by the flood. So far, the team has distributed more than 500 ration bags among the needy families throughout the outskirts of Karachi, Dhabejee, Sachal Goth, Bhittaiabad, 100 Quarters, Bilal Colony, Mujahid Colony, the nalaa area of New Karachi Thatta, Muzaffargarh, Sujawal, Badin, Gadap, Swat, Bela, Shikarpur, Larkana, Muzaffarabad etc.












The ration bags provided consisted of various items such as dry milk, ghee, flour, cooking oil, sugar, pulses, rice, tea leaf, soap, detergent, salt, spices etc. which sums up to the basic needs required in any household. The children and people stranded there were very happy to receive the ration bags, it was a feeling of relief during this hard time when people have nothing to eat or drink. By providing ration bags and drinking water to these floods effected victims, it has helped them a lot during these difficult times.

In addition, the Chairperson of HOPE Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla – A Child Specialist in Karachi has also taken priority in the distribution of mosquito nets, Clothes and medical camps for the affected has been provided. HOPE also plans to help in rehabilitation of the fallen houses. HOPE plans its further activities in Dadu and other surrounding villages.

THE TEAM OF HOPE SETS OUT TO HELP THE FLOOD VICTIMS AT LARKANA & SHIKARPUR.

Since mid-June 2022, Pakistan has been drenched by extreme monsoon rains that have led to the country’s worst flooding in a decade. According to Pakistan’s National Disaster Management Authority, the floods have affected more than 33 million people and destroyed or damaged more than 1 million houses. At least 1,100 people were killed by floodwaters that inundated tens of thousands of square kilometers of the country. HOPE - An NGO in Pakistan, through the generous help of its donors made a whole-hearted, meaningful effort of going all the way from Karachi to distribute much needed ration, drinking water and supplies to poor and needy families in Larkana & Shikarpur, devastated in the recent floods and without any means of sustenance.

The team prepare ration bags each containing the essentials required in every house hold. The ration bags provided consisted of various items such as dry milk, ghee, flour, cooking oil, sugar, pulses, rice, tea leaf, soap, detergent, salt, spices etc. which sums up to the basic needs required in any household. The children and people stranded there were very happy to receive the ration bags, it was a feeling of relief during this hard time when people have nothing to eat or drink. By providing ration bags and drinking water to these flood effected victims, it has helped them a lot during these difficult times.

HOPE is also providing mosquito nets to the flood effected victims, as now due to the stagnant flood water in various areas the ratio of dengue and other diseases are high in the Interior Sindh, Baluchistan, Punjab and KPK. So despite providing cooked food, ration and drinking water HOPE also finds it necessary to distribute mosquito nets, so that the families and children in those areas can sleep peacefully. 

The Chairperson of HOPE, Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla – A Child Specialist in Karachi, has always been the guiding force in organizing and implementing such relief activities with great success. HOPE team, personally participated in the flood relief efforts and in this case too, traveled all the way to Larkana & Shikarpur as well as the surrounding areas to ensure that the relief activity is carried out with efficiency and maximum number of flood victims are benefited.

The country has faced extensive damages to homes, roads, bridges, and power stations with the Sindh and Punjab provinces being hit the hardest. Many rural areas of Baluchistan, Sindh and northern areas have been badly affected by the flood. HOPE - An NGO in Pakistan, through the generous help of its donors made a whole-hearted, meaningful effort of going all the way from Karachi to distribute much needed ration, drinking water and supplies to poor and needy families in Swat, devastated in the recent floods and without any means of sustenance.

HOPE IN COLLABORATION WITH ASIA PETROLEUM LIMITED, SETS OUT TO HELP THE FLOOD VICTIMS AT BALUCHISTAN.

Keeping up with is consistency and goals, HOPE - An NGO in Pakistan, along with the collaboration with Asia Petroleum Limited went an extra mile, all the way from Karachi to distribute the much needed ration, drinking water and supplies to poor and needy families in Bela, Baluchistan, devastated in the recent floods and without any means of sustenance. Asia Petroleum Limited is a partner of HOPE in its ongoing project of the Mobile Health Units. Now with the situation of the floods in various areas of Pakistan, Asia Petroleum Limited has once more partnered with HOPE to help humanity. 

The team prepared 500 ration bags each containing the essentials required in every house hold. The ration bags provided consisted of various items such as dry milk, ghee, flour, cooking oil, sugar, pulses, rice, tea leaf, soap, detergent, salt, spices etc. which sums up to the basic needs required in any household. Despite the distribution or ration, food and clean drinking water HOPE team members also had a conversation with the flood effected victims to lift them morally.

BIRYANI AND PUR SACHET DISTRIBUTION TO THE FLOOD EFFECTED VICTIMS

 

Millions have been affected by monsoon flooding across Pakistan since the past few weeks. The country has faced extensive damages to homes, roads, bridges, and power stations with the Sindh and Punjab provinces being hit the hardest. Many rural areas of Baluchistan, Sindh and northern areas have been badly affected by the flood. Homes, roads, shops etc. have been destroyed.

An infinite number of families, women and children are left with nothing but hope, and in dire need of cooked food, dry ration, clean drinking water, tents, medical assistance etc.

However, there is a silver lining on the darkening sky in the form of NGO’s like HOPE. HOPE – An NGO in Pakistan has been doing philanthropic activities since the beginning of the monsoon season, so that even the less privileged ones can easily make it through during these difficult times. 







 The team members of HOPE – A Health NGO in Pakistan, have been distributing ration to the needy families and now they are also distributing biryani packets, drinking water and Pur water purifier sachet. So far, the team has covered the distribution in urban slums as well as outskirts of Karachi and interior Sindh. These areas include, Thatta, Sujawal, Badin and Ghaggar.

Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla - A Child Specialist in Karachi assures that HOPE will continue facilitating the people in distress who have been effected by the monsoon floods and provide them with cooked food, drinking water, ration and other basic necessities of life.
