Malnutrition, infants’ mortality, and stunted growth of children have been the most serious health issues which have been neglected deliberately over the past four decades
According to the National Nutrition
Survey, 33% of all children were underweight, nearly 48% were underdeveloped,
15% lacked basic health.

is where HOPE – A Health NGO in Pakistan
has been active in eliminating the cases of malnutrition. By providing a start to towards a health
day. HOPE has been distributing Blue
band Margarine to the underprivileged children and women in areas throughout
Sindh.

Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla – A Child
Specialist in Karachi, states
that a balanced breakfast is the most important meal of the day - Breakfast is
the first meal that happens after the longest gap which is after dinner. There is a gap of approximately 10 hours. If
kids skip breakfast or do not consume a breakfast which contains the essential
nutrients, their minds and body will not be able to function during the day.
Which will affect their growth, physical activities and their ability to study.
She emphasizes on the importance of breakfast and all important nutrients
required for a healthy growth.
