HOPE ORGANIZES ITS ANNUAL GRAND IFTAR IN COLLABORATION WITH STANDARD CHARTERED BANK

HOPE in collaboration with Standard Chartered Bank, arranged a benevolent iftar event for all the children and students of all the HOPE schools and vocational centers located in Karachi and interior Sindh. The event was not just a fancy iftar dinner; it was the essence of affection and care shown by the teams of Standard Chartered Bank and HOPE - An NGO in Pakistan towards these derived children.

The Iftar venue was located in Korangi and was ready to welcome the students coming from various HOPE schools, (formal and informal both included), and vocational centers located in Bilal Colony, Zia Colony Bhitaiiabad, Sachal Goth, Bhens Colony, Rerhi Goth, and Ghaggar. There were about 1200 students from these schools and vocational centers who attended the event, accompanied by the faculty members. They were seated in long rows. Keeping in view the heat drenching season, pedestal fans were placed after every few meters to keep the students and guests cool.

More than a hundred volunteers from HOPE staff as well as the employees of Standard Chartered Bank, came along to this event. They also helped in serving food to the students and children. The employees of Standard Chartered Bank and the staff of HOPE – A Health NGO in Pakistan mingled up with the children and spent quality time with them. They and started friendly chatter.  The students participated in games and asked them general knowledge questions.










The gathering got excited with the arrival of Chairperson HOPE, Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla - A Child Specialist in Karachi. With her energetic hospitable personality, she took a personal interest in making sure everybody was seated and served proper quantity of food. At sunset, everybody broke their fast with dates and savored the delicious food items including samosas, puff pastries, kebabs, spring rolls, brownies, bananas, dates and a variety of sherbets.  The food was more than enough for everyone. Mr. Shahzad Dada, CEO Standard Chartered Bank Pakistan, praised the efforts of HOPE for changing lives of hundreds of less fortunate children by providing education and arranging such a grand iftar event for them.

After prayers, Dr. Mubina the Chairperson of HOPE distributed Eid clothes and gifts among the children. The delight which reflected from their eyes upon receiving such pretty Eid clothes, which they could not afford otherwise. The event ended with dinner in which mouthwatering chicken biryani was served to the happy students. Then the children lined up again to board their respective buses to go back to their respective schools and onwards to their homes. The day end with a lot of happiness and memories to cherish. The students and volunteers will forever remember this occasion.

HOPE ORGANIZES AN IFTAR AT ZIA COLONY KORANGI

Ramadan has always brought a sense of joy to Muslims and a chance of getting closer to the creator, but unfortunately the case is not always true for many people who are deprived of basic needs. Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla - A Child Specialist in Karachi not only understands the importance of education for the impoverished and how it can help create a positive impact in improving their lives, she also takes care of the opportunities she can provide to give them some moments to cherish specially during Ramadan.

Under her leadership, HOPE - An NGO in Pakistan is making ends meet to share the abundances with the underprivileged communities in almost every underprivileged area of Pakistan.

HOPE had its First iftar event on the 9th of April 2022 at its General Hospital and High School located at Zia Colony Korangi. Zia Colony, is one such far flung area of Karachi where many katchi abadi’s are made home to many needy people. HOPE strives to achieve great heights of success by eradicating illiteracy, poverty and hunger.



Being a deliverer of happiness and joy to thousands of poverty-stricken Pakistanis, HOPE- A Health NGO in Pakistan, arranged Iftar for the students and staff member of HOPE Formal School and General Hospital, Zia Colony. The students and staff were seated in long rows for the iftar. Their excitement seemed to rise when a variety of food items were served to them. HOPE pays particular attention on the selection and preparation of the iftar items.

Everything was closely monitored to ensure that every child at the HOPE School was served good quality food items. Dates, samosas, rolls, pakoras, jalebis, bananas and melons were part of the menu which was served to them. Sherbet was also served to them that added as the most desirable item on the table. The children enjoyed the iftar party with their friends. The event brough smiles on many grateful and innocent faces.

HOPE DISTRIBUTES BLUE BAND MARGARINE AMONG MALNUTRITION CHILDREN AND WOMEN

Pakistan has been reported to have one of the highest levels of prevalence of child malnutrition compared to other developing counties. Malnutrition, infants’ mortality, and stunted growth of children have been the most serious health issues which have been neglected deliberately over the past four decades

 According to the National Nutrition Survey, 33% of all children were underweight, nearly 48% were underdeveloped, 15% lacked basic health.

This is where HOPE – A Health NGO in Pakistan has been active in eliminating the cases of malnutrition.  By providing a start to towards a health day.  HOPE has been distributing Blue band Margarine to the underprivileged children and women in areas throughout Sindh.

Blue and Margarine contains essential vitamins and iron which provides essential health benefits required for a health growth. 

Blue Band Margarine provides the daily need of vitamins which are 6 good start vitamins; Vitamin A, D, B6, B12, Folic Acid and Niacin to help children grow a healthy and happy lifestyle.

HOPE – An NGO in Pakistan distributed the Blue Band Margarine in the following areas: Sumar Goth, Kachra Kundi, Kaldu Goth, Hayyat Goth, Long Goth, Mulladad Goth, Shiri Goth, Sawan Goth, Lasharhi Goth, Jumma Goth, Rehri Goth, Manzoor Colony, Mujahid Colony, Bhittaiabad, Sachal Goth, 100 quarter and Zia colony Korangi, Gurumandir, Thatta and Sujawal etc.  

 












Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla – A Child Specialist in Karachi, states that a balanced breakfast is the most important meal of the day - Breakfast is the first meal that happens after the longest gap which is after dinner.  There is a gap of approximately 10 hours. If kids skip breakfast or do not consume a breakfast which contains the essential nutrients, their minds and body will not be able to function during the day. Which will affect their growth, physical activities and their ability to study. She emphasizes on the importance of breakfast and all important nutrients required for a healthy growth.
