HOPE USA DISTRIBUTES HAND SANITIZERS IN THE MASJIDS AND COMMUNITY

HOPE a Health NGO in Pakistan has always been active in emergency situations in which the need for rescue arises the most. In the past HOPE responded to emergencies by launching a hugerelief operation that covered medical aid, relief distribution, provision of safe drinking water, nutrition support and reconstruction of houses.

Since the rise of coronavirus cases globally. Many retail stores and pharmacies sell hand sanitizers. However, we understand that many retail stores have run out of hand sanitizers and they may be difficult to find as there is a very high demand for it, since hand sanitizers have become the need of the hour due to the most unpredictable Covid-19 pandemic which has a global impact.  To help increase the availability of hand sanitizers HOPE USA has recently distributed sanitizers in the Masjids and in thecommunity in order to facilitate as many individuals as they can during this pandemic.

Hand sanitizer destroys viruses that are similar to the novel coronavirus, so experts believe it will work against the novel coronavirus, too.Hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol works best.

FDA recommends that consumers do not make their own hand sanitizer. If made incorrectly, hand sanitizer can be ineffective, and there have been reports of skin burns from homemade hand sanitizer. The agency lacks verifiable information on the methods being used to prepare hand sanitizer at home and whether they are safe for use on human skin. This is where HOPE -  An NGO in Pakistan considered the significance of the situation and distributed Hand sanitizers to the people so that they could minimize the spread of the deadly virus.

Studies have found that hand washing with soap is more effective than hand sanitizers. But alcohol-based hand sanitizers (with at least 60% alcohol) are a practical alternative when soap and water aren’t available. If you are using hand sanitizer then, just like when washing with soap and water, you need to make sure you cover your hands (including between your knuckles, wrists, palms, back of your hand and your fingernails) fully, rubbing it in for at least 20 seconds so it’s truly effective.

HOPE’s chairperson, Dr MubinaAgboatwalla –A Child Specialist in Karachi, has always been the guiding force in organizing and implementing such relief activities with great success. HOPE team, personally participated in the relief efforts by distributing the hand sanitizers to the people.

DOW MEDICAL CLASS OF '96 SPONSORS HOPE HOME SCHOOLS

Kashmir is known or said to be “The land of heaven”. The nature over there gives more peace of mind and the positive energy in oneself, it makes you feel fresh. Kashmir is the land of beauty. An inspiration for so much art, music and poetry, Kashmir is paradise; a nature lover’s wonderland and a shopper’s dream come true. Kashmir is best place for tourism. But unfortunately, one might say that Kashmir is not well- looked after in terms of health and education, and that is where HOPE-an NGO in Pakistan, steps in.

HOPE always works for the betterment of deprived communities. Kashmir is a rural area, with a high rate of poverty, due to which people face several hardships. HOPE has established formal and informal schools across the mountainous regions of Kashmir, in order to help the children receive quality education. These schools are set up in their neighborhoods so that the children do not need to travel far from their homes in the cold and harsh weather.

Recently Dow Medical University in Karachi, Pakistan. Class of '96 has pledged to support 2 HOPE Home Schools by sponsoring 170 HOPE Home School Students in Kashmir.

One of the schools is located on a mountaintop in Kashmir and caters to 50 students, who did not have access to education. A total of 170 marginalized students will be sponsored for the entirety of their education by the Dow Medical Class of '96. We wanted to thank HOPE UK's Dr. AfilJamali for initiating this incredible gesture.

HOPE-An educational NGO in Pakistan targets the needy and poor people and helps them in making their living standards better. HOPE has established schools in the areas where not a single school was present before and provides free of cost education to the children who can’t afford quality education due to their family’s financial problems. Books, uniform and stationery are also provided by HOPE schools to the needy ones.

The unmatched success of HOPE home schools is result of the efforts Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla-A Child Specialist in Karachi, made to establish and maintain these schools in remote valleys of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. She visits the home schools every year to maintain the high standards HOPE promised. She specially focuses on girls’ education which was often neglected before the establishment of HOPE home schools in the area.
