Eid is a joyous occasion for all the Muslims. The true
essence of Eid can be accomplished through sharing happiness with deprived
people. During traditional Eid celebrations, children are given gifts, toys,
treats and new clothes. However, thousands of children in underprivileged areas
like Karachi’s slums have never experienced the joy and excitement of receiving
an Eid present. The Fahims School System demonstrated the philanthropic spirit
by providing Eid clothes for the students of two HOPE Informal Schools located
in Sachal Goth and Bhitaiiabad.
The students who study in these schools are the children of
laborers, drivers, maids who work in the houses to earn a living for them.
These students are living under the poverty line. Even the thought of having
books and going to school is nothing but a mere imagination and a dream for the
children studying in these schools. As in the past, once again The Fahims
School System has very generously stepped forward with a helping hand by
donating Eid clothes for the children. The children were really eager to
receive the Eid clothes as they belong to the families who can hardly afford
new clothes for any occasion. The Fahims School System donated a generous amount
to buy Eid clothes for the children of two home schools they have adopted. The
Eid clothes were bought by HOPE team. The clothes were carefully selected
according to the students’ size and fit.
HOPE-An Educational NGO
in Pakistan also
creates opportunities for civil society to come and join hands in the
benevolent cause of providing education as well as moral support to the
underprivileged children in every nook and corner. Students of The Fahims
School System-Senior Boys Branch, often bring goodies for these destitute
children. The purpose of this benevolence is to show empathy towards them. In
the past they have also donated various items including stationary, pencil
boxes, food items, floor mats etc for the students of these home schools.
There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a child’s face
brightens as they were given Eid clothes, this was the perfect opportunity to
make their Eid extra special. Their gratifying expressions at viewing those
clothes and their feelings at being included in the festivities of Eid were
extremely satisfying. Dr. Mubina
Agboatwalla-A Child Specialist in Karachi welcomes all those individuals and organizations who
want to play their role in improving the living standard of the children and
poor communities by fulfilling their basic rights and bringing smiles on their
faces. HOPE-An Educational NGO in Pakistan, has a strong and long lasting bond
with The Fahims School System and always appreciates the support and assistance
provided by them.
