Lipton in collaboration with HOPE – An NGO in Pakistan, arranged a Grand Breakfast event on Tuesday June 6th 2023, for the students studying at the formal and informal schools of HOPE in Karachi and other rural areas.
The event was not just a Grand
Brunch but it was an essence of affection and care shown by the team of Lipton
and HOPE towards these deserving students.
Lipton is a British-American brand of tea,
owned by Ekaterra. Lipton was also a supermarket chain in the United Kingdom,
later sold to Argyll Foods, after which the company sold only tea. The company
is named after its founder, Sir Thomas Lipton, who founded it in 1890.
The Breakfast venue was located
in Korangi at P&T Ground, which was well decorated with a tent, flooring,
fans etc., ready to welcome the students coming from various HOPE schools,
(formal and informal both included).
This included the students of home schools
from the following areas Dhabejee, Bhittaiabad, Bilal Colony, Sachal Goth. The
students from HOPE High school Zia colony also joined in. There were more than
1000 students from these schools who attended the breakfast, accompanied by the
faculty members. They were seated in long rows. Keeping in view the heat
drenching season, pedestal fans were placed after every few meters to keep the
students and guests comfortable.
Many employees from Lipton as
well as the staff members of HOPE
– An NGO in Pakistan.
volunteered in the preparation and distribution of the breakfast among
the students and guests. The employees
of Lipton spent time talking with the students as well as the staff members of HOPE – An Educational NGO in Pakistan.
Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla – A Child
Specialist in Karachi, extended her gratitude and appreciation towards
this initiative by Lipton, through whom the students of HOPE schools
experienced joy and a wonderful memory.
The breakfast menu consisted of
paratha, puri, channa choley, aloo salan, omelet, tea, and coldrinks. The food was very delicious and fresh. Everyone enjoyed their time; the food was more
than enough for everyone.
