MGYW ALONG WITH THE COLLABORATION OF HOPE DISTRIBUTE RATION AMONG THE STUDENTS OF HOPE SCHOOL, ZIA COLONY, KORANGI.

In a heartfelt initiative aimed at supporting underprivileged families, MGYW, in collaboration with HOPE – An NGO in Pakistan, successfully conducted a ration distribution drive on Saturday 11^th April at HOPE High School located in Zia Colony, Korangi. The initiative was designed to provide essential food supplies to students and their families, many of whom face daily financial challenges.

The event witnessed active participation from volunteers and staff members of both organizations, who worked tirelessly to ensure a smooth and organized distribution. Carefully prepared ration packages including staple food items such as flour, rice, lentils, cooking oil, tea leaf and other daily necessities. These items are crucial for sustaining families and easing the burden of rising living costs.

The atmosphere at the school was filled with gratitude and relief as families received their ration packages. For many beneficiaries, this support meant the ability to provide meals for their households without the immediate stress of financial constraints. HOPE SPREADS JOY DURING RAMZAN TROUGH IFTARI, RATION AND EID GIFTS AT THATTA

HOPE – An NGO in Pakistan organized an Iftari at its HOPE School in Thatta on Thursday 19^th March 2026, creating a memorable evening filled with compassion, unity, and generosity. The event brought together students, teachers, and staff to break their fast in a warm and welcoming environment, truly reflecting the spirit of the holy month of Ramzan.

The school was beautifully arranged as children eagerly waited for Iftar time. A delicious and nutritious meal was served, allowing everyone to share the moment of togetherness. The joy and excitement among the students were evident, as such gatherings not only fulfill a basic need but also foster a sense of belonging and care within the community.

In addition to hosting the Iftari, HOPE – A Health NGO in Pakistan took a step further by distributing ration Bags among the families of its students. The ration bags provided, consisted of various items such as dry milk, ghee, flour, cooking oil, sugar, pulses, rice, tea leaf, soap, detergent, salt, spices etc. which sums up to the basic needs required in any household. Providing much-needed relief to underprivileged households during Ramzan. This thoughtful initiative helped ease financial burdens and ensured that families could pass the month with dignity.

To make the occasion even more special, Eid gifts were distributed among the children. Their faces lit up with happiness as they received their presents, adding to the festive spirit and anticipation of Eid. The Iftar party was organized under the supervision of Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla – A Child Specialist in Karachi and chairperson of HOPE.

EHSAAS FOUNDATION DISTRIBUTES EID CLOTHES AND GIFTS AMONG THE STUDENTS OF HOPE SCHOOL

Eid is a time of joy, generosity, and togetherness. A time when communities come together to share happiness with those in need. This spirit was beautifully reflected when Ehsaas Foundation organized a heartwarming initiative for the school students of HOPE – An NGO in Pakistan, distributing Eid clothes and watches as special gifts.

The event was filled with excitement and anticipation as students eagerly gathered together, their faces glowing with curiosity and happiness. For many of these children, receiving new clothes for Eid is a cherished dream, and Ehsaas Foundation helped turn that dream into a reality. Each child was gifted a set of new Eid clothes, carefully selected to make them feel confident and festive on this special occasion.  These students come from lower class families with poor financial background. Their parents are not able to afford new clothes on Eid which results as an additional financial burden.

Adding to the delight, the children were also presented with watches, thoughtful gifts that symbolized not only celebration, but also the value of time and responsibility. The joy on their faces as they wore their watches and admired their new outfits was truly priceless. It was a moment of pure happiness, reminding everyone present of the power of kindness and compassion.

HOPE ORGANIZES AN IFTARI AND DINNER FOR ITS STUDENTS OF HOPE HIGH SCHOOL ZIA COLONY.

Keeping this spirit alive, HOPE – An Educational NGO in Pakistan, organized a special Iftari and dinner gathering for the students of its HOPE High School, Zia Colony, Korangi. The event brought together 350 students and staff members, creating a memorable evening filled with joy, gratitude, and unity.

The gathering was arranged on the roof top of HOPE General Hospital and Community Center, which is situated at Zia Colony, Korangi.  Students were assembled in an organized manner. The Iftari consisted of fruits, dates, samosa, rolls and refreshing drinks. The atmosphere was lively as students waited eagerly for the moment to break their fast together.

As the Azan for Maghrib prayer echoed, the students and staff members broke their fast with dates and water. The sense of togetherness and gratitude was clearly visible on the faces of the children who shared the special moment with their teachers and friends. For many of these students, such gatherings provide not only a nourishing meal, but also a sense of belonging and celebration during the blessed month.

After the Iftari, a wholesome dinner consisting of Chicken biryani was served to everyone. The students enjoyed the meal while spending quality time with their friends and mentors. Laughter and cheerful conversations filled the surroundings, making the evening truly heartwarming.

STUDENTS OF HOPE ENJOYED A MOVIE SCREENING SESSION AT CINEPAX CINEMAS

 

On Saturday, 14th February 2026, the students of HOPE School were treated to a heartwarming and memorable experience of a movie screening session at Cinepax Cinemas, Clifton, Karachi.

HOPE – An Educational NGO in Pakistan, has always focused not only on academic excellence, but also on the overall well-being and happiness of its students. Understanding the importance of extracurricular activities, the management of HOPE arranged this field trip with the cooperation of Cinepax Multiplex Limited & HKC Entertainment (SMC-PVT) Ltd, who sponsored this movie session and refreshments for the students and staff members of HOPE School.

The excitement among the students was evident from the moment they got to know about the movie session. For many, it was their first time visiting a cinema, making the occasion even more special. The children were transported to the venue in an organized manner, where they were warmly welcomed and comfortably seated before the screening began. As the lights dimmed and the movie started, the hall echoed with laughter, cheers, and applause.

200 students and staff members enjoyed a delightful experience of the movie along with which popcorn, snacks, and cold drinks were also provided, allowing the children to fully immerse themselves in the cinematic experience. The joy on their faces reflected how meaningful such opportunities can be for young minds.

The movie outing served as a reminder that education extends beyond the classroom. Recreational activities build confidence, encourage social interaction, and strengthen bonds among students. STUDENTS OF AGA KHAN UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL VISIT HOPE GENERAL HOSPITAL & COMMUNITY CENTRE

The dedication and ambition of HOPE – An NGO in Pakistan has attracted some attention of individuals as well as organizations. One of which is Aga Khan University Hospital. The struggle of HOPE sparked a dash of motivation among the students of AKUH.  The Students visited HOPE gave the students a brief over their projects and activities they are involved in and how the deprived communities have benefited though this.

Students from Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) recently had the opportunity to visit HOPE General Hospital & Community Centre on, Thursday 12th February 2026.  HOPE – A Health NGO in Pakistan, which is renowned to providing accessible healthcare and education to underserved communities. The purpose of the visit was to demonstrate how hospitals function within the broader healthcare system, with a focus on healthcare delivery.   25 medical students of 2^nd year from Aga Khan University participated in a field visit to gain perspective on Zia Colony Hospital's role in delivering primary, secondary, and tertiary care. Integration of hospital services within the larger health system. Patient care practices and approaches to maintaining healthcare quality and patient safety. Operational strategies used to overcome challenges in delivering patient care.

This field trip was initiated by the Department of Community Health Services at Aga Khan University.   A pPresentation was given by the senior members of HOPE including Dr. Rehan and Dr. Shagufta the presentation was then continued by the Founder of HOPE Pakistan, Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla – A Child Specialist in Karachi, during her visit.

They delivered an insightful presentation covering key areas such as general health, Pediatrics (PEADs), and Gynecology & Obstetrics (Gynae & Obs). The sessions provided students with a deeper understanding of the healthcare challenges faced by disregarded populations, particularly women and children.

The visit not only enhanced students’ academic knowledge, but also inspired them to think beyond hospital walls and consider the broader social determinants of health. It served as a reminder that compassionate, community-focused healthcare is essential for sustainable development.
