Karachi and interior Sindh. The event did not just comprise of a fancy iftar dinner; it was an extension of care shown by Standard Chartered Bank and HOPE - An NGO in Pakistan towards the underprivileged
children.

The Iftar venue was located in Korangi at P&T Ground, which was well decorated with a tent, flooring,

IFTARI AND EID GIFT DISTRIBUTION AT ZIA COLONY

HOPE – An NGO in Pakistan, has been a token of selflessness since its inception. A school along

with a hospital, established at Zia Colony. Zia always, being under-privileged in nature is now

on the route to advancement because of the noble work done by HOPE and its donors.

While arranging Iftar dinners for various HOPE schools, the school in Zia Colony, Korangi had

not been forgotten and an Iftar party was also arranged at Zia Hospital for the students and

staff of HOPE Zia School as well as the staff of HOPE Zia Hospital. The evening was filled with

ecstasy. An approximate of 200 plus, staff members, teachers, students and children from the

community were present.

The Iftar party was organized under the surveillance of Dr.Mubina Agboatwalla – A Child

Specialist in Karachi and the chairperson of HOPE.

The Iftar Event was held on Wednesday, 29 th March 2023at its General Hospital and High School

located at Zia Colony Korangi. Zia Colony, is one such far flung area of Karachi, where many

katchi abadi’s are made home to many needy people. HOPE strives to achieve great heights of

success by eradicating illiteracy, poverty and hunger.

During the Iftar students, who are currently enrolled at Zia Formal School, started their iftar in

an enchanted manner, the joy on their faces was priceless. What for most of us is a routine

iftar, turned out to be a festival for them. The Iftari consisted of items like dates, rolls, samosa,

fruits, squash and kebabs etc. The delight on the faces of those children proved that they are

extremely happy with the Iftar arranged by HOPE – A Health NGO in Pakistan. The Iftar was

followed by delicious dinner of Haleem.

After which Eid clothes was distributed among the students, which further increased their

happiness and excitement. The children were really eager to receive the Eid clothes, as they

belong to the families who can hardly afford new clothes for any occasion. Eventually, the

evening had to come to an end. But what we got in return was the “Excitement and happiness

of the children” which was priceless. Towards which all credit goes to the donors of HOPE.
