HOPE'S QURBANI ACTIVITY - EID-UL-ADHA 2022

On the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, every year HOPE - A Health NGO in Pakistan brings smile on the faces of needy communities by distributing Qurbani meat of sacrificed animals among them. In spite of the difficult circumstances they are experiencing, HOPE gives them a chance to celebrate Eid-ul-Adha, like every other Muslim who can afford to sacrifice animals.

Not everyone is capable of purchasing Mutton or Beef, due to financial constraints, many individuals in Pakistan residing in urban slums and rural areas are unable to afford even the smallest quantity of of meat for their families and it is again worse for orphans, widows and poor families as they are financially weakened due to lack of any financial means. Therefore, the distribution of meat on festival day of Eid-ul-Adha helps to fulfill and alleviate the sufferings of needy families.

Under the leadership of Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla - A Child Specialist in Karachi, HOPE strives hard to collect funds from its donors and carry out the holy activity of sacrificing animals and distributing meat, at different locations including its formal and informal schools, vocational centers, health units and hospitals. HOPE has been operational in various slums of Karachi, Gadap, Ghaggar, Rerhi Goth, Hub, Thatta, Sujawal, Badin, Muzaffargarh, and Muzaffarabad. The sacrificial meat was distributed among 650 families among the areas mentioned above; feeding approximately 5000 individuals.

HOPE – An NGO in Pakistan, never forgets the poor and needy on any event and occasion; giving meat to the impoverished communities of the society. Because Qurbani sharing with others spreads happiness and love, It enables them to enjoy the important occasion of Eid-ul-Adha as a time of celebration. These families wait all year round for HOPE's generous distribution of meat and that is what makes their Eid day a time to rejoice.

HOPE TEAM VISITS THEIR MCH CENTERS AT AJK

In Pakistan, health care provision is traditionally the responsibility of the government. The poor health status is in part explained by the negligence of the authorities towards the communities living in rural areas.  Other issues are poverty and low levels of education especially for women.

These factors combine to develop and worsen the prevailing conditions of inadequate and low quality primary health care services in the country. This has in turn put intense pressure on an already overburdened health care system; leading to high rates of maternal and child mortality; especially so in the resource strapped regions such as Azad Jammu & Kashmir.

This is where Dr. MubinaAgboatwalla - A Child Specialist in Karachi realizes the situation and has joined hands with the Health Department, Government of AJK and had established two health care centers in December 2021. One of the healthcare center is located at Langarpura and the other is in Chikkar AJK.

Dr. Mubina along with her employees of HOPE – An NGO in Pakistan visited these healthcare centers to monitor their progress, and make sure they are functioning the way they are supposed to. This year they visited AJK during the mid of June 2022, when the weather was very pleasant there, with cool breeze blowing around. In fact, it was the best time to visit AJK in order to beat the heat.

The MCH is free of cost like every other MCH of HOPE. It is operated by a qualified Lady Health Visitor (LHV), a dispenser and a maid. Treatment for men, women and children are being provided free of cost. HOPE MCH at Muzaffarabad is a ray of light for such an underdeveloped area.

Through the facility of these 2 MCH Centers, which is being provided by by HOPE– A Health NGO in Pakistan,, the patients who do not have access to clinics nearby within their vicinity, take utter advantage of this facility, as they do not have to travel far off distances to seek medical attention.
