HOPE CONDUCTS A PUR WATER DEMONSTRATION AMONG THE RESIDENTS OF LINK ROAD.

Access to clean drinking water remains one of the biggest challenges faced by many underprivileged communities in Karachi. To address this issue, HOPE – A Health  NGO in Pakistan, in collaboration with Procter & Gamble (P&G) Pakistan, organized a P&G PUR Water Purification Demonstration on 18th July 2026 at Link Road, Karachi. The awareness session aimed to educate local residents about the importance of consuming safe drinking water and preventing waterborne diseases.

During the demonstration, the trained team of HOPE – An NGO in Pakistan explained the harmful effects of drinking contaminated water, which can lead to illnesses such as diarrhea, cholera, typhoid, dysentery, and hepatitis. Community members were shown the simple step-by-step process of purifying water using P&G PUR Water Purifier sachets, enabling families to prepare clean and safe drinking water in their own homes. Each sachet is capable of treating up to 10 liters of contaminated water, making it a practical and effective solution for households with limited access to clean water.

The interactive session encouraged participants to ask questions and practice the purification process themselves. Following the demonstration, water purification kits containing a bucket, a cooler, muslin cloth, stirring spoon, and P&G PUR sachets were distributed among the participating families to support the continued use of safe drinking water. This approach reflects HOPE's long-running outreach model for underserved communities.
