Another Act Of Kindness By The Fahims School System

Eid is a joyous occasion for all the Muslims. The true essence of Eid can be accomplished through sharing happiness with deprived people. During traditional Eid celebrations, children are given gifts, toys, treats and new clothes. However, thousands of children in underprivileged areas like Karachi’s slums have never experienced the joy and excitement of receiving an Eid present. The Fahims School System demonstrated the philanthropic spirit by providing Eid clothes for the students of two HOPE Informal Schools located in Sachal Goth and Bhitaiiabad.

The students who study in these schools are the children of laborers, drivers, maids who work in the houses to earn a living for them. These students are living under the poverty line. Even the thought of having books and going to school is nothing but a mere imagination and a dream for the children studying in these schools. As in the past, once again The Fahims School System has very generously stepped forward with a helping hand by donating Eid clothes for the children. The children were really eager to receive the Eid clothes as they belong to the families who can hardly afford new clothes for any occasion. The Fahims School System donated a generous amount to buy Eid clothes for the children of two home schools they have adopted. The Eid clothes were bought by HOPE team. The clothes were carefully selected according to the students’ size and fit.

HOPE-An Educational NGO in Pakistan also creates opportunities for civil society to come and join hands in the benevolent cause of providing education as well as moral support to the underprivileged children in every nook and corner. Students of The Fahims School System-Senior Boys Branch, often bring goodies for these destitute children. The purpose of this benevolence is to show empathy towards them. In the past they have also donated various items including stationary, pencil boxes, food items, floor mats etc for the students of these home schools.

There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a child’s face brightens as they were given Eid clothes, this was the perfect opportunity to make their Eid extra special. Their gratifying expressions at viewing those clothes and their feelings at being included in the festivities of Eid were extremely satisfying. Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla-A Child Specialist in Karachi welcomes all those individuals and organizations who want to play their role in improving the living standard of the children and poor communities by fulfilling their basic rights and bringing smiles on their faces. HOPE-An Educational NGO in Pakistan, has a strong and long lasting bond with The Fahims School System and always appreciates the support and assistance provided by them.

Annual Iftar Dinner Organized For The Children Of Hope Home Schools

To continue its tradition of arranging iftar dinners for underprivileged students and distributing Eid clothes among them, HOPE-An Educational NGO in Pakistan, once again arranged an Iftar dinner at Bhitaiiabad for the students of HOPE semi-formal schools and home schools, which are located in Sachal Goth, Bhitaiiabad, and Mujahid Colony. Their childhood is not like that of other children. They have to work along with their parents to earn money besides helping out in household chores and babysitting their siblings when their parents are at work.

HOPE tries to revive the true sense of Ramadan by forming equality with the less-privileged, through its efforts. May 29th, 2019 saw glimpses of just that as the night glowed of children with shiny faces, sparkling smiles and with eyes filled with dreams of a better tomorrow, all coming together in one grand iftar event organized by HOPE-An NGO in Pakistan, sponsored by HCI. Human Concern International (HCI) is one of the most coveted philanthropist organizations that have been actively serving miserable humankind for many years in different parts of the world.

Around 450 socially deprived children of HOPE home schools and semi-formal schools paved their way to the Iftar venue. The ultimate reason for arranging the iftar dinner was, to make the children feel wanted and loved, and to incept a sense of social acceptance in their minds. The children were seated in long rows on either sides of dastarkhuwan adorned with different eatables. Their chatter and laughter made the event a happy one. As the sun set, the faces of children glimmered with escalating excitement while breaking fast. The iftar menu included bananas, patties, samosas, cutlets, spring rolls and a brownie along with two types of sherbet.

Iftar was gradually proceeding, but the evening was far from over, as Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla-A Child Specialist in Karachi herself indulged in acts of benevolence by distributing Eid clothes among the children. She socialized with the children and asked them about their progress. The children were then feasted with their favorite dish, haleem served with naan and condiments. One could clearly see the fulfillment in their eyes. What it left was the sense of contentment for the HOPE team, and a dream for a better tomorrow for the less fortunate children.

Every Drop In The Ocean Counts

Zia Colony, Korangi is an urban slum of Karachi that lacks quality educational infrastructure for the underprivileged local community. HOPE-An Educational NGO in Pakistan helps to fill in this gap. HOPE School Zia Colony is one of HOPE’s most successful formal schools. At HOPE School Zia Colony, there are 610 underprivileged children receiving free-of-cost quality education up to Matric in a well-established building in a neat and clean atmosphere. Qualified teachers are hired to teach students who belong to less fortunate communities. They are the children of laborers, transporters, industrial workers, mechanics, electricians, or jobless people. Many students are orphans. These are the children who are otherwise unable to go to school due to financial difficulties. Uniforms, stationary and school bags are provided free of cost to these students.

Often, many of us take for granted what others consider luxuries. This privilege we have, to take our blessings for granted, comes with great responsibility to reach out to the less fortunate and less privileged. During the holy month of Ramadan, one such group of individuals visited HOPE School Zia Colony to distribute goodies and iftar boxes among the students. An individual donor, Ms. Farah along with her few friends visited HOPE Zia School. They brought goody bags with them which included stationary items, file folders, books and snacks for children. They also brought wrist watches for boys and custom jewelry for girls. For iftar, they served boxes of biryani, zarda and cold drinks to the students of HOPE School Zia Colony. They gave the students of HOPE School Zia Colony an opportunity to enjoy Eid, donning accessories they couldn’t ever dream of. The glee of receiving unexpected presents was clearly evident from the children’s beaming faces. The staff of HOPE School Zia colony, paid close attention to the activity and ensured that all students were benefitting from the activity. HOPE-An NGO in Pakistan looks forward to welcome any organization or individual that wants to help in spreading happiness among the socially deprived children in Pakistan.

Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla-A Child Specialist in Karachi has been the driving force in setting up HOPE schools for the underprivileged children and in ensuring that they are running successfully and efficiently, which is why these schools have been so popular in the areas where they have been established. Under her leadership, HOPE strives to eradicate illiteracy in Pakistan by providing education to all, especially the underprivileged masses. Thus, most of HOPE’s programs are focused primarily on the rural and urban slum areas of Pakistan

We Serve Your Sacrifice Where It Is Most Needed

Every year on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, HOPE-An NGO in Pakistan brings smile on the faces of destitute communities by distributing Qurbani meat of sacrificed animals among them. In spite of the difficult circumstances they are experiencing, HOPE gives them a chance to celebrate Eid-ul-Adha, like every other Muslim who can afford to sacrifice animals.

Due to financial constraints, many individuals in Pakistan residing in urban slums and rural areas are unable to afford even a kilogram of meat for their families and it is again worse for orphans, widows and poor families as they are financially incapacitated due to lack of any financial means. Therefore, the distribution of meat on festival day of Eid-ul-Adha helps to fulfill and alleviate the sufferings of needy families.

Under the leadership of Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla-A Child Specialist in Karachi, HOPE strives hard to collect funds and carry out the holy activity of sacrificing animals and distributing meat, at different locations including its formal and informal schools, vocational centers, health units and hospitals. HOPE has been operational in various slums of Karachi, Gadap, Ghaggar, Rerhi Goth, Hub, Thatta, Sujawal, Badin, Muzaffargarh, and Muzaffarabad. These families wait all year round for HOPE's generous distribution of meat and that is what makes their Eid day a time to rejoice.

This Eid-ul-Azha let HOPE perform Qurbani on your behalf, and allow HOPE to distribute meat to the poor and needy. By sharing a part of your Qurbani with those in need, you share your blessings and promote unity and harmony between all human beings. Support HOPE in reaching out underprivileged communities in innumerable downtrodden areas of Pakistan. Give your donations to HOPE because your actions may light up someone's Eid.

HOPE-A Health NGO in Pakistan does not let any part of Qurbani animals go to waste, hence also collects all the skin of the animals and encourages other donors to donate the animal’s skin if it is going in the garbage. This Eid-ul-Adha help HOPE put a smile on everyone’s face whose happiness depends on what we provide.
