CLEAN WATER, HEALTHY LIVES: HOPE DISTRIBUTES P&G PUR WATER SACHETS AT BILAL COLONY

Access to clean drinking water is one of the most essential needs for a healthy life. Safe water protects families from dangerous waterborne diseases such as diarrhea, cholera, typhoid, and stomach infections, which particularly affects children and elderly individuals in underserved communities. Unfortunately, many low-income areas still struggle with contaminated water supplies, making awareness and access to water purification solutions extremely important.

Keeping this critical need in mind, HOPE – A Health NGO in Pakistan organized a community awareness and distribution activity at Bilal Colony to educate residents about the importance of clean drinking water and proper hygiene practices. As part of the initiative, HOPE distributed P&G PUR Water Purifier Sachets among community members and conducted a live water purification demonstration to show how contaminated water can be made safe for drinking.

During the demonstration, employees of  HOPE – An NGO in Pakistan collected visibly dirty water and explained the complete purification process step by step. The P&G PUR sachet was mixed into the water, stirred properly, and filtered after the impurities settled down. Residents were amazed to witness how the dirty water turned clear and clean within a short time. The practical demonstration helped community members understand how easily they could purify water at home and protect their families from harmful diseases.

The session also included awareness regarding hygiene, sanitation, and safe water storage methods. Women and children actively participated in the activity and asked questions about maintaining healthy practices within their households.

Each family there was provided with a purifying kit that consisted of a Cooler, Bucket, muslin cloth, spatula and Pur sachets, so they could continue using the purification method in their daily lives. The residents of Bilal Colony appreciated HOPE’s efforts and welcomed the initiative with great enthusiasm.

Through such humanitarian activities, Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla – A Child Specialist in Karachi continues to support vulnerable communities by promoting health awareness and providing practical solutions that improve the quality of life and create healthier environments for families in need.
