Independence Day Celebration at HOPE School

 

Pakistan commemorates its 77 years of existence and independence on August 14, 2024. These are important dates to honor the lives which have been sacrificed for the sake of Pakistan.

Children celebrates this day with great enthusiasm as they understand the importance of freedom and liberty of independent country. Keeping this in mind HOPE- An NGO in Pakistan work effortlessly to make this day special for the children of the underprivileged areas studying in HOPE’s school. Children belonging to such remote areas are often neglected while celebrating such events which spreads smile on their face.

The Independence Day was celebrated at the Formal and Informal schools of HOPE – An Educational NGO in Pakistan. The students performed short skits on poetry, storytelling. Furthermore, dance performances, role model acting etc. were also conducted.  The teachers and principals gave motivational speeches.  There was face painting.  The schools were decorated with wonderful flag buntings, streamers and balloons of white/green color. The students were the most excited among all, for this day, as they are usually seen wearing new white and green clothes and badges on this occasion and take part in the decoration of their homes and schools with Pakistani flags and green buntings etc.

 Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla – A Child Specialist in Karachi makes it a point to keep the celebration of Pakistan’s Independence Day by giving a chance to those underprivileged children studying at HOPE Formal and Informal Schools to celebrate this day with great enthusiasm. The children are encouraged to take part in singing national songs and perform whatever their hearts content. Since the youth of this country is the future and will one day be its leaders, HOPE continues to carry out its charitable work and underlines the value of education for young people.

STUDENTS OF HOPE SCHOOL VISIT TARGET

An increasing number of students are receiving their education through HOPE's formal and home schools across the nation, The operations of which are guided by Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla – A child specialist in Karachi.  HOPE also provides field trips for its students, which are essential for their motivation in addition to instruction.

One such instance involved students from HOPE Zia School who were invited for a visit to the office of Target, which was organized by Target Sources Services.  Where they spent quality time with the staff members of Target.

The students enjoyed their visits, were they played games, puzzles, they even had a quiz session.  Furthermore, the students experienced an interactive session with the team of Target, in which students were asked about their interest, hobbies and which would they like to become when they grow older.

HOPE & ASIA PETROLEUM RENEW THE CONTRACT OF ITS MHU PROJECT

Mobile health clinics serve an important role in the health care system, providing care to some of the most vulnerable populations. Mobile health care delivery is an innovative model of health services delivery that provides a wide variety of services to vulnerable populations. Mobile clinics can improve access by serving as a vital link between the community and clinical facilities.

The goal of the Mobile Health Units is to strengthen communities to combat these challenges by providing free medical examinations, medication, and care. Medical practitioners are also raising awareness on good hygiene to lower the risk of disease in communities.

Villages in the outskirts of Karachi and interior Sindh are the prime example of such rural areas. These villages face serious health challenges with infectious diseases such as gastrointestinal disorder, pulmonary tuberculosis, malaria and diarrhea being very common. Moreover, malnutrition of children is another alarming problem. Health facilities for the rural poor in the present state are in total disarray.

HOPE - A Health NGO in Pakistan has been active in Pakistan since 1997, under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla-Child Specialist in Karachi. It strives to improve the health and educational disparity of the deprived community in the country.

On Friday 26^th July 2024, the founder of HOPE, Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla, presided over a signing ceremony for renewal of HOPE's Mobile Health Unit (MHU) contract with Asia Petroleum. HOPE has been a partner with Asia Petroleum for 14 years. 

HOPE operates two Mobile Health Units which serves 30 villages on the outskirts of Karachi.  Doctors from Karachi staff these Mobile Health on a rotational basis.  The doctors set up “clinics” in the houses of community volunteers and treat the underserved population, mainly women and children.  Medicines and treatments are provided free of charge to over 85,000 patients per year.

HOPE - An NGO in Pakistan strives to improve the disastrous health care crisis all over Pakistan. The setting up of these MHUs helps move towards that goal, 26 villages at a time. HOPE stresses very strongly that only setting up of treatment facilities will not solve the problem. Preventive healthcare methods and practices need to be adopted by both the rural and urban population in order for a healthy society to develop within the country.

HOPE DISTRIBUTED COOKED FOOD IN THE REGIONS OF KPK

One of the most striking examples of the unequal distribution of resources on the planet is the existence of chronic hunger in some parts of the world. Especially for children, hunger can be deadly or have grave consequences.

Dr Mubina Agboatwalla - A child specialist in Karachi and a born philanthropist is of the view that providing basic necessities to the underprivileged class is obligatory for those who have the capacity to help. HOPE – A Health NGO in Pakistan, distributed biryani to the patients of its MCH Centers at Mansehrah and Garhi Habibullah. The patients and attendants were arranged and seated in several long rows before they could receive their biryani packets. Their happiness and level of excitement escalated when they were served the biryani. The management and preparation towards the food distribution was very well delivered to ensure all patients were served with sufficient quantity

Delicious biryani packets were served to the MCH patients at KPK; patients enjoyed the wholesome meal and went home with a big smile on their face.

With each passing year HOPE welcomes more and more volunteers and people who want to donate whole heartedly, so that HOPE can continue to carry out such actives in the future to come. HOPE DISTRIBUTES COOKED FOOD AMONG THE IMPOVERISHED

There are extremely poor communities in remote parts of Sindh. HOPE - An NGO in Pakistan, helps these communities by distributing cooked food. Recently, HOPE has been distributing biryani packets to children and impoverished families in various rural areas that reside in underprivileged communities within society. HOPE has distributed biryani packet among the children and the underprivileged families in different rural areas on the 12^th and 13^th of July 2024.

Many smiles and happiness were on the faces of the people who received the biryani packets. HOPE regularly distributes food to rural slum areas and the villages that border the city. These folks, who are from the lower socioeconomic class and cannot afford to enjoy a good meal like we do.

The team of HOPE provides food among the underserved communities on regular basis. The food is served to the needy individuals in Ghaggar, Link Road, Dhabeji, Zia Colony, Bilal Colony, 100 Quarters Korangi, Thatta, Sujawal etc. HOPE mainly works to ease the hardships of the less fortunate ones, focuses on the poor women and children while distributing food or other goodies.

HOPE – A Health NGO in Pakistan, distributes food and other necessities while concentrating on the impoverished women and children in an effort to lessen their suffering. Women, children, patients, and people with disabilities typically lose out on opportunities because they are unable to go outside and access food distribution activities due to a large crowd of people around. These kids have the most precious smiles on their faces.

HOPE STRIVES IN ITS MISSION FOR THE PROVISION OF VACCINATION AND IMMUNIZATION IN PAKISTAN

 

Vaccinations or immunizations not only protect your child from deadly diseases, such as polio, tetanus, and diphtheria, but they also keep other children safe by eliminating or greatly decreasing dangerous diseases that used to spread from child to child.

A vaccine is a dead, or weakened version, or part of the germ that causes the disease in question. When children are exposed to a disease in vaccine form, their immune system, which is the body's germ-fighting machine, is able to build up antibodies that protect them from contracting the disease if and when they are exposed to the actual disease. 

HOPE – An NGO in Pakistan has its motive fixed towards creating a healthy and strong metabolism and disease fighiting mechanism in children, especially those who are neglected.  To which HOPE provides vaccines and other immune building food and multivitamins to children belonging to underprivileged communities.

Further adding towards this goal, HOPE was invited for meeting by Gavi the Vaccine Alliance to have a brief discussion on new vaccinations and immunizations for children, and the reach in various territories throughout Pakistan.  Without giving a second thought, representatives from HOPE participated in this meeting which was held on the on Thursday 4^th of July, 2024 at Avari Towers Hotel, Karachi.

Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance is a public-private partnership that helps vaccinate more than half the world's children against some of the world’s deadliest diseases. To help increase immunization coverage in lower-income countries, Gavi is launching a series of opportunities for civil society organizations (CSOs) to apply for funding directly from Gavi. These include country-specific calls for proposals, alongside single-source funding driven by countries and approved by governments. This approach reflects a wider commitment from governments to endorse the role of CSOs in extending immunization services to reach all communities.

Good health and nutrition are not only essential inputs but also important outcomes of basic education of good quality. QURBANI ACTIVITY 2024

Eid ul Adha is the largest muslim holiday that muslims celebrate around the world once a year. Eid ul Adha is also known as Qurbani Eid- because muslims perform Qurbani on this holiday. Qurbani means sacrifice- specifically to please Allah(swt). Muslims give Qurbani in remembrance and honor of Prophet Ibrahim and his son, Ismail. The animal sacrificed is symbolic of how Prophet Ibrahim almost sacrificed his beloved son to please Allah(swt)-till in the last moment, Allah(swt) replaced Ismail's place with a ram. Therefore, Muslims around the world once a year honor this day as Prophet Muhammed(PBUH) used to do by sacrificing an animal.

The aim of sacrifice, like all other fundamentals of Islam, is to imbibe piety and self-righteousness. It also promotes the spirit of sacrifice for a right cause. Giving meat to the poor and destitute as required when doing Qurbani spreads happiness so they may also enjoy the event of Eid-ul-Adha as a time of celebration and festivities.

Just like every year, HOPE – An NGO in Pakistan, performed qurbani this year as well, and the meat of which was distributed among the underprivileged communities throughout Pakistan. 

HOPE - A Health NGO in Pakistan, was actively involved in the distribution of sacrificed animals among the deserving families this Eid-ul-Azha. HOPE carried out its annual Qurbani on all three days of Eid and sacrificed cows as well as goats benefitting a total of 3000 families.  The areas commenced Ghaggar, Gadap, Mujahid Colony, Bhittaiabad, Rehri Goat, Bhens Colony Sachal, Bilal Colony, Zia Colony, Muzaffargarh, Sujawal, Badin, Thatta and Gurumandir & AJK

HOPE under the supervision of Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla – A Child Specialist in Karachi, distributed meat throughout Pakistan, so that poor people who are not privileged to afford beef and mutton throughout the year may experience this happiness.
