A large population residing in rural areas, do not have access to proper care and treatments in the hour of their need. Elderly people, pregnant women, neonatals, persons with chronic illness residing in a distant location from a hospital are always at high risk. Community health system has a large demand throughout Pakistan.
Looking at such needs of the communities. HOPE
– A Health NGO in Pakistan, has established several Hospitals, Mobile
Health Clinics and MCH Centres (Mother and Child Health Care Centres)
throughout Pakistan.
The
dedication and ambition of HOPE has attracted some attention of individuals as
well as organizations. One of which is Aga Khan University Hospital. The
struggle of HOPE sparked a dash of motivation among the students of AKUH. The Students visited HOPE General Hospital
& Community Centre on, Thursday 20th February 2025. HOPE gave the students a brief over their
projects and activities they are involved in and how the deprived communities
have benefited though this.
Furthermore,
being a medical student, they pondered over the importance of basic health care,
which is lacking in such rural areas and how HOPE
– An NGO in Pakistan makes days and nights one to serve these
communities. This is one of the reasons
why these students chose to visit HOPE Hospital and its Community Centre.
Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla – A Child
Specialist in Karachi, highly encourages individuals as
well as organizations to support them in this cause. The overwhelming deeds
along with the tireless efforts of HOPE, have always been worth admiring. The
acknowledgement and appreciation of our work boosts up our team’s motivation
level committing them to put in even greater effort in doing so.
