HOPE DISTRIBUTED RATION BAGS TO THE NEEDY PEOPLE IN ZIA COLONY

A major chunk of the Pakistani population is deprived of the basic necessities of life from which one of the most important is food. In a recent study conducted by the US, Pakistan ranks 106 among the 119 countries on Global Hunger Index and is expected to rise in the near future. HOPE- an NGO in Pakistan, carrying out its philanthropic activities is in one way responsible to feed these hunger stricken populations. Communities residing in far flung areas across Karachi are indeed very poor

Many large bags of ration were handed over to HOPE, by a donor, for distribution among the needy students and families of HOPE Zia School and the needy people residing in Zia Colony. Serving a whole better purpose of charity and was a great help to the underprivileged people.

The ration bags provided consisted of various items such as milk ghee, flour, cooking oil, sugar, pulses, rice, tea leaf, soap, detergent, salt, spices etc.which sums up to the basic needs required in any household. The children and people were very happy to receive the ration bags. it was a feeling of relief during this hard time of inflation.

The team at HOPE – A Health NGO in Pakistan, distributed the ration bags among the neediest students and families of Zia Colony.  The children and people were delighted to receive the ration bags as they belong to low-income class who cannot even afford to buy basic grocery on regular basis. Seeing the innocent smiles on the faces of these children is extremely gratifying and it affirms our belief that all the efforts, the hassle, the obstacles are worth going through just to see a smile on the faces of these children who can’t afford the basic necessities of life.

Dr. MubinaAgboatwalla- A Child Specialist in Karachi, leads HOPE towards achieving greater horizons and drags people out of their misery and sufferings by carrying out such philanthropic activities.
