The significance of education cannot be understated, as it serves as the foundation for a bright and prosperous future. At HOPE – An NGO in Pakistan, we strongly believe that every child, including those from less privileged backgrounds, deserves access to quality education, as it is the most effective means for them to unlock their true potential. Our aim is to grant children the chance to learn and grow, enabling them to become valuable members of society and make meaningful contributions.

HOPE - An Educational NGO in Pakistan, operates a network of Formal and Home schools. The organization has three formal schools situated in Karachi (Korangi), Thatta, and Muzaffargarh. These schools offer classes from preschool all the way to matriculation. Highly qualified teachers and staff are dedicated to educating the students. Over 1,700 students are enrolled in HOPE's formal schools. These institutions boast facilities comparable to those found in private schools, including computer labs, science labs, and options for recreational and extracurricular activities.

HOPE operates a network of home schools across the nation. These schools are held in the residences of community girls. Local children can easily attend the school since it is conveniently located. Many girls stop their education after primary school because their parents are reluctant to send them to schools that are far away. The home schools are run by girls who are in their matriculation or intermediate studies, and they also share their knowledge with other girls in the community. They are encouraged to take private high school examinations. There are no fees charged to the students, textbooks are provided at no cost, and essential furniture items such as blackboards, chairs, tables, and dari are also supplied by HOPE.

THE NEONATAL RESUSCITATION TRAINING SESSION AT HOPE

 

On 19^th June 2025   HOPE – An NGO in Pakistan conducted a Neonatal Resuscitation Program at its General Hospital and Community Center, located at Zia Colony, Korangi, Karachi. The Program was conducted between 10:30 am to 1:30 pm.  This training consisted of RMOs, Gynecology doctors, and paramedic staff attending births or caring for newborns. The paramedic staff arrived from the MCH Centers and General Hospitals of HOPE.

The Training was conducted by Dr. Syed Khurram Sajid, Consultant Pediatrician.
The Purpose of this training was to equip the healthcare professionals with knowledge and skills for effective neonatal resuscitation, improving newborn care and patient outcomes.

The Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) course conveys an evidence-based approach to care of the newborn at birth and facilitates effective team-based care for healthcare professionals who care for newborns at the time of delivery. NRP utilizes a blended learning approach, which includes online testing and hands-on case-based simulation/debriefing that focus on critical leadership, communication, and team-work skills.

HOPE'S QURBANI ACTIVITY 2025

 

This year on the festive occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, HOPE – A Health NGO in Pakistan sacrificed cows and goats and brought smiles on the faces of needy communities by distributing Qurbani meat of the sacrificed animals among them. In spite of the difficult circumstances they are experiencing, HOPE gives them a chance to celebrate Eid-ul-Adha, like every other Muslim who can afford to sacrifice animals.

Not everyone has the means to buy mutton or beef; many people in urban slums and rural areas of Pakistan face financial difficulties that prevent them from affording even the smallest amount of meat for their families. The situation is especially dire for orphans, widows, and low-income households, as they are further weakened by a lack of financial resources. Consequently, distributing meat on the festival day of Eid-ul-Adha helps to alleviate the hardships faced by these underprivileged families.

Under the guidance of Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla – A Child specialist in Karachi, HOPE works diligently to gather contributions from its donors to perform the sacred act of animal sacrifice and distribute the meat at various sites, including its formal and informal schools, vocational training centers, health clinics, and hospitals.HOPE has been operational in various slums of Karachi, Gadap, Ghaggar, Rerhi Goth, Hub, Thatta, Sujawal, Badin, Muzaffargarh, and Muzaffarabad. The sacrificial meat was distributed among 600 families among the areas mentioned above; feeding approximately 4000 individuals.

HOPE – An NGO in Pakistan, always remembers the less fortunate during every event and occasion, providing meat to the needy communities in society. Sharing Qurbani with others fosters feelings of joy and affection, allowing these families to celebrate Eid-ul-Adha as a meaningful time of festivity. These families anticipate HOPE's charitable meat distribution all year long, which is what turns their Eid day into a moment of celebration.

BIRYANI DISTRIBUTION AT 100 QUARTER

Consider a community where each person has the opportunity to succeed, no matter their economic status. Assisting those in need goes beyond mere charity; it's a shared ethical duty ingrained in our collective mindset. It's about understanding our interconnectedness and acknowledging that the welfare of one affects the welfare of everyone.

HOPE - An NGO in Pakistan, has been tirelessly working to provide food for hundreds of impoverished individuals and children for many years. HOPE successfully offers nourishment to the underprivileged members of the community to support those in need.

HOPE recently spread happiness among the patients and the local community at its MCH Center situated in Korangi 100 quarter through their generous actions. They achieved this by offering cooked meals to patients and children in the area. The HOPE team members served flavorful biryani. The residents of these communities expressed their gratitude for such a tasty meal. Their genuine joy was evident in their expressions.

Approximately 400 packets of biryani were handed out in the vicinity. The distribution of biryani packets to the communities resulted in big smiles on their faces. HOPE – A Health NGO in Pakistan conducts similar meal distributions at its hospitals, school and maternal and child health facilities.

The background of these neighborhoods come from low-income families, who are rarely able to enjoy such extravagant meals due to their inability to afford them. Thus, upon receiving the biryani, one could observe the delight and happiness in their eyes.

HOPE CELEBRATES ITS ANNUAL RESULT DAY AT HOPE SCHOOL ZIA COLONY, KORANGI

It is clear that education is an overlooked sector in Pakistan. Numerous civil society organizations are striving to educate the underserved populations in both rural and urban areas . HOPE – An educational NGO in Pakistan, also plays an important role in offering free education to underprivileged children, enabling them to acquire knowledge and become an educated citizen of Pakistan.

On Tuesday, 29^th May 2025, HOPE – An NGO in Pakistan held its annual result ceremony at HOPE School, Zia Colony, Korangi. HOPE arranges this event every year to encourage its students to achieve more and to appreciate those who work hard.

This year the event was accompanied by two visitors from the Japanese Consulate, who were warmly welcomed by the students and staff of HOPE School.   The ceremony started with the recitation of the Holy Quran followed by a Naat which was recited by the students of the school. The event started by the distribution of trophies and gifts to the students, who stood first, second and third in their respective classes, to encourage them as well as to lift the spirits of other students.

The event continued with numerous performances, dances and skits by the school children, who had put in great effort in making the event entertaining. There was a special patriot dance performance by the children of HOPE School, which the audience thoroughly enjoyed watching it.  Students were excited to be part of this event as children from every class had a chance to show their talent.

All the guests highly appreciated the program. The Chairperson of HOPE, Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla - A Child Specialist in Karachi, congratulated the position holders, and appreciated the efforts of the teachers. She further spoke about the education system of hope, how it has benefited so many students and all that HOPE has achieved since its establishment.

The event was organized by the HOPE staff at the school, and numerous guests were present. Our esteemed guests presented trophies to the students who earned top positions. At the conclusion of the event, children received school bags and stationery items sponsored by HOPE.

HOPE DISTRIBUTED RATION BAGS AT ITS SCHOOL IN ZIA COLONY KORANGI.

 

On Saturday, 19^th April 2025, HOPE provided Ration bags to the underprivileged families residing at Zia Colony, Korangi. HOPE – An NGO in Pakistan, has dedicated itself helping the residents of these impoverished areas, striving to ease their hardships, this time through ration distribution.

 

The ration bags that were handed to the families of its students who are in much need of this facility. The team successfully prepared over 80 ration bags, each filled with essential items needed in every household. The contents of the ration bags included various products such as dry milk, ghee, flour, cooking oil, sugar, pulses, rice, tea leaves, soap, detergent, salt, and spices, which cover the fundamental necessities for any home. Families and students expressed great happiness upon receiving the ration bags, feeling a sense of relief during this period of rising prices.

 

The families and students were overjoyed to receive the rations, as they come from low-income families who struggle to purchase even basic groceries. Witnessing the pure joy on the children’s faces is incredibly fulfilling and reinforces our conviction that all the hard work, challenges, and hurdles we face are worthwhile, just to bring a smile to the faces of these children who cannot fully enjoy.

DEMONSTRATION & DISTRIBUTION OF P&G WATER PURIFIER SACHETS AT LINK ROAD

Water is crucial for survival. However, it must be pure, clean, and safe to drink. Clean drinking water is vital for human health and well-being, acting as a fundamental need and human right. It's essential for maintaining a healthy lifestyle.  Access to clean water is crucial for preventing water-borne illnesses, regulating body temperature, aiding digestion, and supporting overall health. 

HOPE – A health NGO in Pakistan, has partnered with Procter & Gamble Pakistan to ensure access to clean water by providing P&G Purifier of water sachets to impoverished communities. These sachets are utilized to create safe drinking water.

 A single sachet can purify as much as 10 liters of brackish water. Unlike many other available products, P&G Purifier of Water does not leave a salty or sour after-taste. The Pur demonstration team from HOPE – An NGO in Pakistan, highlighted the dangers associated with consuming unsafe and contaminated water to a large part of the population residing at Link Road and informed them about the advantages of clean, healthy water provided by P&G purifier.

On Saturday, May 9th, 2025, the HOPE team showcased the method of purifying water using sachets of P&G Purifier at Link Road. A number of individuals attended the session where they discovered the significance of consuming clean water and learned how to prepare it independently at home. Each participant received a purification kit that included a cooler, a bucket, a muslin cloth, a spatula, and 150 sachets of P&G Purifier of Water

Under the guidance of Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla - A Child Specialist based in Karachi, the goal is to assist the community by ensuring access to clean water, thereby decreasing the incidence of illnesses, particularly in children. Furthermore, this initiative will also create a chance to enhance living standards and boost immunity.
