Health is a basic human right. In Pakistan, the indicators show a dismal picture with high infant and maternal mortality rates. Women an and children don’t have access to health care.

In this context, HOPE- a Health NGO in Pakistan has set up various maternal and child health centres (MCH) Centres all over Pakistan in rural and urban slums. Bilal Colony, a poor urban slum in Karachi has a population of 80,000 and lacks basic infra structure.

A MCH had already been functioning in the area but now under the guidance of Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla- child Specialist in Karachi decided to expand the services.

The MCH Centre in Bilal Colony has been relocated and shifted to a more spacious location. Nearly,  25000 patients are seen monthly which includes women and children. This includes consultation as well as free medicines. Many patients are given intravenous fluids. Minor ailments like respiratory infections, gastroenteritis, skin infections, typhoid, malaria are treated. Antenatal care for women is done.

Ultrasound services are also provided. HOPE-NGO In Pakistan ensures provision of quality health care to all –women, children and adults irrespective of caste and creed.

REVIVE ENVIRONMENT COLLABORATE WITH HOPE FOR THE DISTRIBUTION OF COOKING STOVES.

There are many rural areas of Sindh, which have no access to natural gas line connections or can afford to buy LPG cylinders, due to which people are dependent on burning wood and other materials to cook or use as a source of heat. However, the practice of burning wood using bricks is not very safe.  Looking at this difficulty faced by the under privileged Revive Environment Pakistan, introduced cooking stoves for the poor. These stoves are basic and function as the traditional way, but they are much safer and sturdy to use.    

Revive Environment (Pvt.) Ltd. collaborated with HOPE – A Health NGO in Pakistan, for the distribution of its stoves to the underprivileged people living in the rural areas and other villages.

Revive Pakistan is a group of volunteer professionals from all fields of life working together for disaster risk reduction and minimizing impacts of man-made and natural disasters by educating and empowering communities to build capacity for their revival. REVIVE PAKISTAN brings other social development organizations, donors and communities to work together for a sustainable change.

On the 27^th of December 2023, The team of Revive Environment (Pvt.) Ltd. Along with the team of HOPE – An NGO in Pakistan, set out to give awareness about these cooking stoves on its usage and safety. After which 50 stoves were distributed in these areas. The areas where the stoves were distributed include Misrish Goth, Allah Dino,  Khamiso Goth and other districts of Sujawal.  

Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla – A Child specialist in Karachi, encourages other organizations who work towards a social cause, which benefit the under privileged masses. She herself looks forward to collaborate with local or international organizations who think about the society.

THE HOPE TEAM VISITS ITS HOME SCHOOLS AND MCH CENTERS IN KASHMIR

Each year HOPE - An NGO in Pakistan makes it a point to visit all its projects established throughout Pakistan. Some of these projects include its MCH centers and Home Schools located at Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). These home schools assist the locals who do not have access to school within the vicinity and the surrounding areas to help them avail their right to education.  While the he MCH is free of cost like every other MCH of HOPE. It is operated by a qualified Lady Health Visitor (LHV), a dispenser and a maid. Treatment for men, women and children are being provided free of cost. HOPE MCH at Muzaffarabad is a ray of light for such an underdeveloped area. The 2 MCH Centers of HOPE are Located at Langarpura and the other is in Chikkar, AJK.

The home school HOPE -  An Educational NGO in Pakistan play a crucial role in educating children on a mass level who have been gone unnoticed in Pakistan. These schools provide young children a chance to receive basic primary and secondary education. It also creates an employment opportunity for educated girls in the community, who can teach in these schools and earn a living. Around 800 plus students are enrolled in HOPE home schools, Muzaffarabad and Hatiyan Bala-district of Azad Jammu Kashmir. The literacy rate in this area is also very low, resulting in a population whose basic necessities are met by doing menial jobs. These mountainous areas are inaccessible with rocky surfaces, covered with snow and heavy rain during the winter season makes it difficult to access it.

School bags, clothes and stationary boxes were also distributed among school children. In addition, the School Annual Day was celebrated. Different programs were held, in which students presented skits and other plays based on culture and patriotism. After which everyone was given biryani and juice.

Dr. Mubina – A child specialist in Karachi,  along with her employees of HOPE visited these Informal schools and health care centers to monitor their progress, and make sure they are functioning the way they are supposed to.

PARHOKHELO PAKISTAN COMPLETES ITS 50TH CSR INITIATIVE WITH HOPE

Giving to charity is a selfless act. There’s no financial return. Generosity for its own sake creates a more compassionate, community-focused world. Recently on Saturday, December 16, 2023. Parhokhelo Pakistan successful completed its Golden Jubilee Community Service initiative, marking a momentous milestone in our ongoing commitment to creating positive change within our community.

Parhokhelo Pakistan 50th initiative was completed and was celebrated with with students of HOPE – An Educational NGO in Pakistan, this happiness was expressed by the distribution gift bags to the students who are studying at the HOPE Formal School in Zia Colony, Korangi, Karachi.

HOPE DISTRIBUTES RATION BAGS AT BILAL COLONY AND MUJAHID COLONY

The Major population of Pakistan is deprived of the basic necessities of life, from which one of the most important is food. Only a starving person knows what it is like to sleep hungry.

HOPE - A Health NGO in Pakistan distributes rations among the poor families every month throughout the year. The teams were sent to distribute ration bags among the needy households at Bilal Colony and Mujahid Colony, where vans were loaded with food items and ration bags were sent to different slum areas of Karachi for distribution among needy households. The food items and ration bags were distributed at the door steps of needy families.

These needy people belong to the communities, to whom HOPE extends its hands to help them. They were delighted to receive the ration as they belong to the low-income class, who cannot even afford to buy basic groceries. Seeing the contentment on the faces of these people was extremely gratifying and it affirmed our belief that all the efforts, the hassle, the obstacles are worth going through just to see a smile on the faces of these destitute people who can’t afford to buy food. The ration bags comprising of various items such as milk powder, flour, cooking oil, sugar, pulses, rice, tea bags and dates were distributed among the elderly individuals of impoverished communities.

HOPE - An NGO in Pakistan is particularly thankful to its generous donors, because without the continuous support, these acts of happiness would not be possible.

HOPE CELEBRATES SINDHI CULTURAL DAY AT HOPE ZIA SCHOOL KORANGI

Sindhi Cultural Day is a popular Sindhi cultural festival in Pakistan. It is celebrated with traditional enthusiasm to highlight the centuries-old rich culture of Sindh. The day is celebrated each year on the first Sunday of December.

Each year, Sindhis celebrate Cultural Day with full enthusiasm and passion. SIndhis wear cultural dresses with Sindhi topi and Ajrak the traditional block-printed shawls to spotlight the centuries-old rich culture of Sindh as they celebrate this festival in unity.

Cultural day was also celebrated among the students of HOPE High School, Zia Colony, Korangi.   In which the students were very passionate about dressing up in Sindhi attire wearing Ajrak shawls and Sindhi topi. Apart from the students the teachers and principal also participated actively in the occasion. By dressing up as per the culture.   The classroom and halls were decorated and a cake was cut.  Furthermore, the students enjoyed dancing on Sindh cultural songs. HOPE – An NGO in Pakistan encourages its teachers and staff to promote our own cultures.

HOPE – An Educational NGO in Pakistan, makes it a point to keep the celebration of Cultural day by giving a chance to those underprivileged children studying at HOPE Schools to celebrate this day with great enthusiasm. The children are encouraged to take part in performing dances on cultural songs and perform whatever their hearts content.

Under the leadership of Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla - A Child Specialist in Karachi, HOPE strives to flourish and continue its philanthropic work for the betterment of the society and Pakistan as a whole.

MEHFIL-E-MILAAD AT HOPE SCHOOL, THATTA.

A Mehfil-e-Milad was held on Saturday 25th November, 2023 at HOPE School, Thatta, keeping the tradition of arranging religious events at HOPE, An Educational NGO in Pakistan. The Milad started with the recitation of the Holy Quran, Hamds and Naats were recited by children of all classes as well as few teachers. The voices of the students amazed they audience there, who knew these students possessed such hidden talents within.  

Moreover, it is ensured that all HOPE schools arrange extra-curricular activities that help the children to explore various interests that they may have. Getting involved in extracurricular activities also allows students to get involved in diverse interests as it is important for them to be very diverse in their interests.

HOPE - An NGO in Pakistan puts in maximum effort to bring as much joy to the underserved as possible, by organizing such events and activities, which make them feel loved and that they have someone to look up to. We hope to continue to spread love and happiness by giving charity in the way of God and simultaneously managing such events to motivate women and children to come forward and display their talents. Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla - A Child Specialist in Karachi, always encourages her staff and students to participate in such religious activities.  She initiated the arrangement and preparation of this event.

The Milad came to a close with salam and dua. Sweets and refreshment were distributed among the students and staff. The HOPE staff made all the seating and audio arrangements for the event and their efforts were praised.
