HOPE’S NETWORK OF MOTHER & CHILD HEALTH CENTERS

 

HOPE - An NGO in Pakistan has a vast network of Mother and Child Health Centers MCH established in Manzoor Colony, Mujahid Colony, Bilal Colony, 100 Quarter, and Langerpura (AJK) where antenatal care is provided to mothers. Normal deliveries are conducted at MCH Centre. Chest infections, diarrhea, skin allergies, are the common diseases treated at these centers. Free of cost medical consultation and medicines are provided to the needy patients. Ultrasound is also done here by a professional gynecologist. More that 80,000 patients are treated in these centers on an annual basis.

These MCH Centers is mainly visited by mothers and their children, services like antenatal checkup and ultra sound are provided. The primary purpose why HOPE – A Health NGO in Pakistan established these MCH Centers is to provide the needed maternal and child health services. To provide antenatal and obstetric care to expectant mothers. The most important thing is saving mothers and newborn lives. Many mothers who are expecting come to these clinics who literally do not find any support during pregnancy; because they depend on traditional birth attendants for home deliveries without ultrasound facilities, which result in difficulties during complicated delivery cases, due to which they are they rushed to hospitals.

One of the core reasons for the formation of these MCH Centers in various areas, is to cater towards the medical needs of the population ratio, who do not have access to medical facilities at a reasonable price in this area.

ANNUAL FUNCTION 2023 HELD AT HOPE SCHOOL MUZAFFARGARH

On the 12^th of January 2023 HOPE team visited HOPE Formal School in Muzaffargarh Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla and the team was on annual visit to the school which is paid every year to evaluate and maintain the performance and progress of the school. The students and teaching staff of the school welcomed HOPE team wholeheartedly.

On the 14^th of January 2023 HOPE had its annual function at HOPE Formal School Muzaffargarh. The Annual function is one of the most awaited events at HOPE School Muzaffargarh for which all students wait eagerly the whole year to show their action, dance performance skills which they have been practicing all along.  The students had prepared tableaus and skits. Their performances on stage brought out the hidden talent in them and it proved that they are underprivileged children, but possess the ability to compete with others and excel in life. They performed on different folk songs. The students also made motivational speech on various topics. It showed their depth of knowledge and confidence.

HOPE- An NGO in Pakistan evaluates the performance of its teachers and students throughout the year. Representatives from HOPE Karachi visit the school regularly. Based on the performance report, HOPE’s Chairperson Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla – A Child Specialist in Karachi, presented shields to the best teacher, best student and best outstanding performance of the year. Prize distribution ceremony was followed by annual lunch.  The students were given delicious biryani and juice.

Like every year HOPE team brought many items for distribution such as pencil boxes, school bags, pants, ghee and warm clothes. The students were overjoyed to receive the gifts. Their eyes glimmered when they received the gifts.

STUDENTS OF IQRA UNIVERSITY VISIT HOPE FORMAL SCHOOL ZIA COLONY

HOPE - An Educational NGO in Pakistan provides educational, health, and vocational training services to the disadvantaged populations throughout Pakistan. Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla – A Child Specialist in Karachi  leads the NGO and tries her level best in driving out new possibilities through which students can gain more exposure into the practical world.

On the 24^th of January 2023, 8 students from Iqra University visited the students of HOPE Formal School Zia Colony, Korangi. To kick off the meeting, the IQRA University students selected 24 students from KG1, KG2 and nursery section and distributed drawing books, coloring books among them. To make things even more livelier the university students had an interactive session with these preschool students of HOPE – An NGO in Pakistan by asking them questions about their hobbies, what would they like to become when they grow up and sing national songs etc.  The University students also entertained the pre school students by telling them interesting stories and fairy tales.

After the icebreakers, the students did drawing and coloring on the books given by the university students. Laughter and voices filled the air as they enjoyed themselves.

The university students gave a talk on oral and personal hygiene, they taught the children the correct way to wash their hands and brush their teeth.  The also taught them how to wash their hands and brush their teeth by making them practice it on themselves.

To close off the meeting, the IQRA University students distributed gift hampers among the kids which had goodies such as chips, chocolates and biscuits. As everyone munched on the refreshments, each child was filled with happiness and delight.

Interacting with the IQRA UNIVERSITY students was not only enjoyable for the HOPE students, but motivating as well. For the IQRA UNIVERSITY students, it was a priceless meeting, an eye-opening experience to see how the other half lived; however, now equipped with this knowledge, this next generation of professionals will be properly equipped to take up the mantle in eradicating poverty the ultimate goal of HOPE.

THE MOBILE HEALTH UNIT (MHU) OF HOPE

 

Providing world class health care facility is an obligation on HOPE- An NGO in Pakistan. Health care is a basic and essential human need in every part of the world. Regardless of the fact that a person in ill or not, regular checkups are good personal habits. In Pakistan there has been a rampant growth in the health care sector.

Most private organizations do not find it financially viable to set up health care services in rural villages due to several reasons. Greater distances, lack of proper road networks and low population densities discourage the private sector in investing in rural healthcare.

Villages in the outskirts of Karachi and interior Sindh are the prime example of such rural areas. These villages face serious health challenges with infectious diseases such as gastrointestinal disorder, pulmonary tuberculosis, malaria and diarrhea being very common. Moreover, malnutrition of children is another alarming problem

HOPE – A Health NGO in Pakistan along with the collaboration of Asia Petroleum Limited are providing Mobile health Units to the out skirts of Karachi where no one reaches. This facility provides primary healthcare facility to patients residing in those areas and the neighbouring villages.

The Mobile Health Unit clinics are easily accessible. With the right vehicle design and paramedic team behind the wheel, it is compact and can get to any place anytime.  A Mobile Health Unit can cut down the time when it comes to treating an emergency patient or even covering the medical needs of people in a large area.  This is a big relief for patients, who do not have transportation or access to medical facilities within their locality.

Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla - A Child Specialist in Karachi, has been collaborating with national and international organizations. The funds donated from these organizations has helped immensely in establishing hospitals, schools, MHU, MCH Centers vocational centers and many other projects. Ultimately it is clear that HOPE is playing a vital role in developing the society by creating accessibility and ease for the underprivileged population.

 

 

 

MOU SIGNING CEREMONY OF BLANKET DISTRIBUTION DRIVE FOR SINDH FLOOD VICTIMS

The continuous monsoon rains few months ago, caused major floodings in different parts of Pakistan, leaving thousands of families affected, large number of houses were destroyed, thousands of acres of ready to harvest crops and fruits have been damaged. Houses and other belongings of the people living in the flood effected areas have been destroyed and washed away.

Relief assistance that has been provided so far is insufficient and most of the unattended affected people will remain at high risk requiring immediate lifesaving assistance.

This is where HOPE – A Health NGO in Pakistan, along with the Collaboration with Asia Petroleum Limited (APL), joined hands together to bring some relief to the flood effected victims, by distributing blankets among the victims residing in the districts of Dadu (Taluka Khairpur Nathan Shah and Taluka Meher) the distribution point will be Sojro Khan Mirwani.

The MOU between HOPE and APL was signed on the 9^th of January 2023, for the distribution of 2000 blankets among the flood victims.

Due to the houses that were destroyed the population residing in those areas have no shelter or source to keep themselves warm and protect them from the approaching winter not forgetting the freezing nights.

HOPE - An NGO in Pakistan, found many poor people living in a lot of difficulty to protect themselves from the cold. There are millions of underprivileged who cannot afford even a blanket and die due to the intense cold without a roof or cloth on their bare bodies.

Under the leadership of Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla - A Child Specialist in Karachi, HOPE does its best to help the underprivileged population through which ever means possible.

HOPE ZIA SCHOOL STUDENTS OF CLASS 9TH GRADE PASS WITH EXCELLENT RESULTS

 

Education provides stability in life, and it’s something that no one can ever take away from you. By being well-educated and holding a college degree, you increase your chances for better career opportunities and open up new doors for yourself.

The importance of education is evident when it comes to being self-dependent. If we are, well educated, then it’s something that belongs to us, and only us, allowing us to rely on no one else other than ourselves. It can allow you to not only be financially independent, but also to make your own choices.

HOPE – An Educational NGO in Pakistan understands the importance of education, that’s why it emphasizes on the importance of students taking education seriously and achieving good grades. Recently Class 9 results of HOPE Zia School, were announced in which students achieved really good grades. Their hard work and dedication paid of and the efforts the teachers put into educating them brought flying colors. 

It has been an absolute priority of HOPE an NGO in Pakistan, to provide the best possible education to the poor who cannot afford it due to the high cost of living and inflation.  Thus, HOPE does not only focus on providing excellent education, but also in making it accessible to the poor, who otherwise would not have had the opportunity to a good schooling.

Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla - A Child Specialist in Karachi personally looks into formulating the school’s systems, screening of teachers, methods of imparting information and proper selection of syllabus books at primary levels.  It is because of such relentless efforts, that HOPE’s Zia Colony school has produced such exceptional results.

All the students who appeared in the Matric examinations cleared the test with flying colors. Three of the girls did exceptionally well and received A+ Grade while 11 boys received A+ Grade. The results have been very satisfactory and all students were congratulated by the administrative and teaching staff.

DISTRIBUTION OF RATION AND CLOTHES TO THE FLOOD VICTIMS AT DADU

 

HOPE – A Health NGO in Pakistan is doing its level best to create ease for the people, who have lost their homes and shelters due to the recent floods. Along with which all their belongings and food items have been washed away.  These poor people live hand to mouth and do not have any other resources for survival. Many rural areas of Pakistan especially interior Sindh and the Northern areas have been affected by these rain spells and flood, as the house of the underprivileged population have been destroyed.

Recently HOPE – An NGO in Pakistan with its team made the extra mile of going all the way from Karachi to visit the various Goths in Dadu for the distribution of ration, ghee, warm clothes, slippers, blankets, Pur sachets and other supplies to poor and needy families in those Goths.

The ration bags provided consisted of various items such as dry milk, ghee, flour, cooking oil, sugar, pulses, rice, tea leaf, soap, detergent, salt, spices etc. which sums up to the basic needs required in any household. The children and people stranded there were very happy to receive the ration bags, it was a feeling of relief during this hard time when people have nothing to eat or drink. By providing ration bags and drinking water to these floods effected victims, it has helped them a lot during these difficult times.

The Chairperson of HOPE Dr. Mubina Agboatwalla – A Child Specialist in Karachi has plans to help in rehabilitation of the fallen houses.  HOPE team, personally participated in the flood relief efforts and in this case too, traveled all the way to Ranipur, Dadu and Larkana as well as the surrounding areas to ensure that the relief activity is carried out with efficiency and maximum number of flood victims are benefited.
